Romans 12:4-8 - Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach, if it is encouraging, let him encourage; it if is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.

Romans 12:4-8
I've been struggling with the financial part of our trip. I can ask for prayers all day long, however I slam on the brakes when it comes to asking for money. And who put the "fun" in "fundraising"? Honestly, I'm not finding this part of the journey to be much fun.
There is nothing more uncomfortable to me than asking people to give me money so that I may have the opportunity to serve. I'll confess, I'm selfish in my pursuit to serve. Since this is where my heart is, is it right for me to ask others to give so that I may do? I've found my answer:
So, I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and humbly asking people to give. Be it prayer or financial. I believe that both are equally important because our team cannot work without either one!
My prayer for the next few days, weeks, months, years? I pray that He lays it on everyone's heart to use their gift or gifts. That we kneel to the call to be the hands and feet of Jesus and use what was given to us to glorify Him.

Thank you for that Nikki, I was struggling with the same thing and talking to a friend about it last night. What great verses!
